Enkitec was selected to help this customer alleviate performance issues and improve customer confidence. Given Enkitec’s knowledge of enterprise class database environments along with their specific Exadata experience, Exadata was recommended to replace the existing T2000 server. Two Exadata Quarter Racks were purchased, one for Production (half rack) and the second for Disaster Recovery (quarter rack). Click here to download.

This case was not only a consolidation effort, but also a “speed to market” endeavor. The customer was discontinuing the use of the SAN which housed their Oracle databases, and there was a hard deadline in place to migrate to Exadata. Based on this timeline, Enkitec was only able to improve the ETL processes by taking advantage of Exadata’s built-in optimizations. Click here to download.

Exadata achieves unprecedented performance by pushing SQL processing down to the intelligent, Exadata Storage Servers, thus reducing database server CPU consumption and reducing the amount of data sent back to the database server.
