eAdam is a free tool that extracts a set of flat files from a source Oracle database. The tool can be used to perform database performance evaluations or initiate sizing and provisioning exercises.
When the extracted files are moved to a staging database, they can be used to perform data mining. The scope of the data extracted from the source system is restricted to database performance. Most objects belong to the Oracle's Automatic Workload Repository (AWR) or to Active Sessions History (ASH). The extraction phase of eAdam avoids placing unnecessary pressure on the source system, commonly a production database.
